As of Tuesday 16 January 2024, Clergy Support Trust has now reopened to applications.

Thank you to our applicants for your patience and understanding. Our Charitable Services team have been hard at work, getting our new system up and running, so we can give an improved user experience to every Anglican clergy household that comes to us for support.

In 2023, we supported over 2,700 clergy and their families with £6.2m in grants, including more than 1 in 5 of all serving Church of England clergy. Our brand-new system is already helping us respond to the increasing demand for our services. It's faster, simpler and more user-friendly.

What's different about your new system?

The new system has a range of benefits, including that you won't have to re-enter the same information every time you apply for a different grant, saving you a great deal of time.

It will also suggest other grants you may be eligible for, based on the information you've provided us about your household. Discover support you may have never previously considered - you'll be surprised how the Trust can support you in your day-to-day, from contact lenses to a new washing machine.

Once you've registered and logged in, you'll notice that the system looks different to what you're familiar with. If you're unsure or get lost, our short How-To Videos are there to guide you.

While the system has changed, the evidence we require remains the same. For example, you'll still need key documents to hand before you Register/Apply, like your NI Number and Stipend Slip.

What do I need to do next?

We are anticipating a high level of applications over the coming weeks, as we process a backlog of applicants reaching out to us for support.

If you are not in urgent need, or if you are not planning on applying immediately, please consider delaying your registration by a few weeks, so we can prioritise our response to those who need it most.

Whether you've applied to us before or are applying for the first time, you will need to register before you apply. Once you have successfully registered, our team will verify your eligibility, which may take up to ten working days.
